VEHICLE History

This 1993 Land Defender 110 is offered from the private collection of Canary Island Rover. Under the current ownership, the vehicle has been mechanically restored by a Land Rover specialist and is road legal with ITV safety and emission testing. While with the previous owner, the vehicle was prepared for overlanding with an added roof rack, Maggiolina rooftop tent, Fiamma awning, Warn winch, and various other upgrades. Within the last year, it was repainted in the original red color. The interior is original and well-preserved. It performs well on and off road, and will take it’s next owner to any destination and back. 242,900 KMS have been driven since new.

exterior

The Land Rover Defender 110 was repainted in May 2021 in the original red color, and the paint shows well. Additional metal cladding has been attached to the front wings, hood, sides, rear end, and rear door. Four new Nankin NK4x4WD A/T tires were installed in May 2021 showing minor wear.

The D110 is prepared for overland use with a Maggiolina roof top tent, which has been fitted with a new foam mattress and cover measuring 2 meters by 1.4 meters. A new telescoping ladders provides entrance to the tent on the passenger side of the vehicle. The Fiamma F45i awning is in good condition. The roof rack is reinforced and has three U-shaped supports on each side. There is a rear ladder for quick roof access. An external LED work light is found on the rear. A cone shaped breather finishes the snorkel. A heavy-duty bull bar and front light guards protect the front end.

The underbody was treated with Dinitrol in April 2022, as preventative maintenance even though the chassis was without rust.

motor and transmission

The 200Tdi motor and LT77 5 speed manual transmission are original to the vehicle, showing 242,900 KMS. The turbo diesel motor pulls well and gears shift smoothly. The 2 speed transfer case works properly and has a manually locking central differential. The D110 has full time 4WD.

During the mechanical restoration in April 2022 all fluids and filters were changed. In addition, the clutch master cylinder was replaced along with the steering damper, valve cover seal, steering box ball joint, rear differential seal, rear stabilizer arms, and shock absorbers bushings. In addition, the front belt was replaced and swivel housing were overhauled.

It has current ITV road safety and emission inspection.

interior

The overall condition of the factory grey moorland cloth interior is good. The steering wheel was rewrapped in April 2022. The front driver seat bottom was replaced in April 2022. The dashboard is without blemishes. A Pioneer CD stereo with USB and 4 speakers were installed under previous ownership. All electronics function properly. Additional upgrades include LED map light, vehicle inclinometer, compass, interior battery cutoff, and winch electricity cutoff. The original tools and jack are included.
